Kerala Tourism has once again cornered attention at the Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin (ITB Berlin)- 2015, the world’s largest tourism trade fair.
The Kerala Tourism stand, with the Great Backwaters of Kerala theme, having a floor area of 128 sq m is the biggest among the State tourism boards from India.
It was jointly inaugurated by Deputy Chief of Mission, India Embassy, Berlin, Shubhdarshini Tripathi, and Joint Secretary, Tourism, Suman Billa.
“We are sure that Kerala Tourism will be raised to a higher platform at this fair,” Tourism Minister A.P. Anilkumar said. “The Golden City Gate award at ITB Berlin last year for the print campaign on backwaters was a great boost to the industry,” he added
Tourism Secretary G. Kamala Vardhana Rao, who is leading the delegation from the State, said “we have received positive and encouraging responses on the very first day of the trade.”
He was hopeful that Kerala will reap maximum benefits from the fair in terms of business, with as many as 19 trade partners.
The ITB international trade fair will conclude on March 8.
